YOUNGSTOWN — St. Columba Cathedral in downtown Youngstown will have its second annual international food festival as a carryout option only on Sept. 17 at the church hall.
Combos are $15 each and can be picked up 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot between the church and the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University. No checks or credit cards will be accepted as this is a cash-only event. Orders can be paid for at pickup, but paying in advance is preferred.
There are five options to choose from: an Eastern European feast featuring pierogies, halushki (cabbage and noodles) and kolbasi; an Italian feast featuring manicotti, eggplant Parmesan and meatballs; a Mexican feast featuring steak or chicken fajitas, and rice and beans; an American feast featuring chicken and dumplings and green beans with almonds; and a dessert sampler featuring sweets from a variety of countries, including Greece, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Poland and Ireland, as well as cookies.
The dinners also include a salad, a dessert and either a can of pop or a bottle of water. To place an order for pickup on Sept. 17, call parish council member Marly Reichert at 330-755-8128 or text her at 330-507-6001 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 14 and 15.
Orders also will be taken after the weekend Masses at 4 p.m. Saturdays, and 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 12.
All proceeds go the educational fund at St. Columba.
